Duke, UConn, Villanova, Memphis Grab Top Seeds

Duke, UConn, Villanova, and Memphis are the top seeds in the 2006 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.  Duke is the top seed in the tournament and will begin play on Thursday in Greensboro against Southern.

The Big East sent a record eight teams to the tourney, led by top seeds UConn and Villanova.  Big East tournament champion Syracuse, along with Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Georgetown, Marquette, and Seton Hall.  A ninth Big East team, Cincinnati, missed the tournament for the first time since 1991.

Arizona made the field for the 22nd straight year, the longest current streak.
